Every lesson is individualized to your child's needs: for example instead of them feeling the pressure to read the music, perhaps we're using colors of numbers.
Guitar is well suited for older children who's finger strength is more developed (8th grade and above.) Ukulele is perfect for little ones!
I will adapt as necessary for your child's physical needs. For example, if your child has difficulty with fine motor skills, we may use a larger pick on the guitar. We address specific physical, cognitive, and/or instructional needs.
Singing is perfect for any age.
Some children with selective mutism (children who don't choose to speak often, or they echo what you say) end up LOVING singing! You will see their personality shine through. Singing can really help with processing, and I'll often see them filling in blanks with words, or choosing to sing on their own! I wil

I will play the guitar or another instrument, and not only work on technical singing, but allow the children to share their voice, gain confidence, have vocal expression.
